What does a typical day of in-centre therapy look like?TIPES offers full-day programming from 8:30am–3:30pm. This includes a lunch break from 11:30am–12:30pm, as well as a 15-minute recess and a 15-minute nutrition break in the morning and afternoon. We also offer morning programming from 8:30am–11:30am or afternoon programming from 12:30pm–3:30pm. When a learner is dropped off at the centre, they are greeted outside the front door by their behaviour technician. If the behaviour technician is not there to greet the learner upon arrival, please buzz the upstairs office and a staff member will come down to greet the learner. The behaviour technician will walk the learner to their classroom where the learner will partake in individualized behavioural programming that incorporates common goals shared between the guardians, the clinical team, and the learner. At the end of the day, the learner and the behaviour technician will meet the learner’s guardian outside the centre’s entrance to go home.
