Position: Behaviour Technician

Location: Ottawa 

Position Status: Full-time, Permanent 

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week (Monday–Friday 8:30–4:30) 

Salary: Starting at $20.45 per hour

Have you worked with young children diagnosed with autism or other learning needs? Are you an enthusiastic, creative person who wants to make a difference in a child’s life? Do you have a willingness to learn? Do you speak French, Arabic, Mandarin, or another language?

Requirements: 

• University degree in behavioural science, psychology, or diploma in Early Childhood Education, autism and behavioural science, or related field 

• Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) 

• Possess or working towards a valid Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification 

• Valid Vulnerable Sector Check

Responsibilities: 

• Provide one on one instruction using ABA principles 

• Demonstrate an ability to be fun, creative, and flexible in following the learner’s motivation  

• Collect and track program data 

• Develop and organize program material  

• Work within the prescribed treatment programs from the clinical supervisor 

• Participate in team meetings with senior therapists and the clinical supervisor as required
