Position: Supervising Senior Therapist (BCBA)
Location: Ottawa
Position Status: Full-time, Permanent
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week (Monday – Friday 8:30 – 4:30)
As a supervising senior therapist you will be responsible for designing and overseeing individualized Intensive Behavioural Intervention programming, providing ongoing supervision, training and mentoring to ensure the highest level of workplace compliance and professional standards.

Responsibilities:
-
Conduct weekly clinical supervision of direct service delivery and implementation of behaviour plans as needed for a caseload of learners

Determine the appropriate curriculum for each learner, incorporating the ABLLS-R, Carolina Curriculum, Direct Instruction, PEAK, AIM and VB-MAPP as appropriate

Oversee the implementation of functional behaviour assessments, including functional analysis, interpretation and summary of data and results
-
Responsible for ongoing program evaluation and modifications to behaviour plans
-
Review completed ABLLS-R and PEAK assessments (initial and 6-month updates) and adjust programming appropriately
-
Review completed functional assessments and collaborate with senior therapists to write up appropriate behavioural interventions

Liaise with parents regarding clinical programming

Liaise with third parties regarding learner progress

Conducts team and/or senior therapist meetings as required
-
Provides initial and ongoing senior therapist education and training
-
Provides supervision hours to employees pursuing their BCaBA and BCBA certifications
-
Provides supervision to designated staff including positive and constructive feedback, discipline as necessary
Education/Experience:
-
Masters’ degree in Psychology, Behavioural Sciences, Disability Studies or Applied Behaviour Analysis
-
Board Certified Behaviour Analyst in good standing
-
Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder and evidence-based treatment models and approaches
-
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role, conducting comprehensive behaviour assessments, developing behaviour interventions, and analysis of data
-
3000 hours post BCBA certification, an asset
